“After His Heart” is a youth purity conference sponsored by Spoken For Magazine, a local ministry of Northwest Florida. The event will be held at Rocky Bayou Baptist Church in Niceville, Florida (see map on right) on October 10, 2009, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

“After His Heart” is open to middle school, high school, and college students. (We recommend ages 14 and older. Read 'For the Parents') Admission for the event is free of charge.

Attendees will take part in one hour-long session with speakers Ryan and Lesley Ray and two 30-minute sessions of choice. The Conference will also include a free on-campus lunch in between sessions, door prizes, and a concert. See our Agenda.

The majority of those performing, speaking, leading worship, and planning the event are young people. Threeof our six speakers are straight from Spoken For Magazine’s. Three o’ Clock Station is a college Praise & Worship band that often plays at Alabanza, a local singles ministry in Niceville, FL. Marked from Cornerstone Church will also be performing.

The unique part about “After His Heart” is that this conference is designed not only to focus on sexual purity, but also to make teenagers hungry for a relationship with the Father. Psalm 119:9-11 reads, “How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word. I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands. I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.” (NIV) Our belief is that purity starts with a desire for God. Therefore, every message in our conference will be founded on the desire to honor God in all areas of life, including sexual purity. We will start at the real beginning of purity. Also, something unique about this year is that we are not only focusing on the “do not’s” of purity, but also showing youth invaluable principles for pursuing romantic relationships in purity, when the time comes. Some of the truths shared in these two workshops will be worth the conference just by themselves!
